Holly Ellison has worked in K-3 Education for over 35 years. She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Elementary Education from the University of Tennessee. She then was hired by Knox County Schools and taught Kindergarten at Ramsey Elementary School, 1st and 2nd grades at Farragut Primary School, and 3rd grade at Farragut Intermediate School. She was always so grateful for the parents and assistants who helped her with her copying and laminating and who helped with working with her students who needed a little extra help. So when she ended her career with Knox County Schools she wanted to give back for all she had been so richly blessed with and given. She came to Knoxville Christian School in 2014 to do just that — give back to teachers and students. Additionally, she has taught herself a new skill set and now, in addition to working with teachers as an assistant and tutoring students, she also works as one of the Preschool–Kindergarten aftercare teachers and provides enrichment activities and creative play for them until they are picked up. She feels truly blessed and very grateful to be a part of the KCS family. Her favorite Bible verse is 1 Corinthians 13:13 “And now these three remain: Faith, Hope and Love, but the greatest of these is Love.”
