School Philosophy

As God expects excellence, Knoxville Christian School encourages students to develop their abilities to the fullest extent possible and to use them for the glory of God and the good of their fellow man. As man is created in the image of God, students are taught respect for all people, regardless of social, economic, ethnic and physical status.

KCS is a college preparatory program and its academic requirements are designed for students to realize their potential and enable students to be successful in higher educational pursuits. KCS curriculum is built upon current research-based practices and is intended to exceed Tennessee state and national standards.

In order to harmonize home, school and church, KCS employs Christians with proper credentials to provide the necessary role model. Parents are encouraged to play an active part in the education of their child through decision-making, volunteer commitments and support.

“And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken.”
Ecclesiastes 4:12
