Ms. Teleza McElhenney has been teaching at KCS since 1995. She has taught Biology, Middle School Science, Pre-Algebra, Latin, History, Literature, Speech, and Mythology at KCS. She has taught at Knoxville Christian School in both middle and high school capacities. Ms. McElhenney graduated Summa Cum Laude from Johnson University with a Bachelor of Education degree. Ms. McElhenney has been inducted into Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers.
Mrs. McElhenney’s favorite scripture is II Corinthians 4:8-9 – “We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed”. Her main teaching goal is to develop within each student a Christian world view by helping them learn about God’s magnificent creation and helping them view their studies as a way to better understand Him.
