Aftercare Program Staff

Knoxville Christian School is seeking a caring, dependable individual to serve in our Aftercare Program for K–5th grade students.
Our Aftercare team provides a safe, welcoming, and positive environment for students who remain on campus after the school day. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to contribute to the KCS community.
Position Details
- Position: Aftercare Program Staff
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, on regular school days
- Hours: 3:15–5:30 p.m.
- Pay: $15 per hour
- Students: Kindergarten–5th grade
- Typical Group Size: Approximately 8 students, although enrollment may vary
- Background Check Required
Responsibilities
- Supervise and care for K–5th grade students during aftercare
- Provide a safe, positive, and engaging environment
- Assist students with activities, games, homework, and other appropriate after-school activities
- Encourage respectful behavior and positive interactions among students
- Maintain appropriate safety and supervision at all times
- Communicate with parents/guardians in a friendly and professional manner
- Support the mission, values, and Christ-centered environment of Knoxville Christian School
Who We're Looking For
This position would be an excellent fit for someone who:
- Enjoys working with elementary-age children
- Is dependable, responsible, and patient
- Has a positive attitude and enjoys being part of a school community
- Is comfortable supervising and interacting with a small group of students
- Is considering a future career in education
- Is a college student studying education or a related field
- Is a retired educator or someone who simply enjoys investing in children
Prior classroom experience is helpful but not required. The most important qualities are a genuine care for children, dependability, and a willingness to be part of the KCS community.
