Job Description
QUALIFICATIONS Education:
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
- Valid Tennessee teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned
- Knowledge of academic subject area: World History, Geography, US History.
- Knowledge of teaching theories, skills, and principles
- Ability to teach, instruct, and lead students in an engaging, cooperative fashion
- Ability to work in a team and receive coaching in an innovative model
- Gracious and professional communication with parents
- Ability to maintain an active and focused classroom
- Must be a committed Christian who is able to share how God works in your daily life
- Committed member of a local church
- Heart for communicating God’s love to students
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Prepare weekly lesson plans and assessments according to Knoxville Christian School’s standards and curriculum.
- Prepare materials for class instruction.
- Execute lesson plans, effectively communicate, and competently teach subject matter.
- Update and maintain grades and attendance on FACTS
- Work with parents to foster an open, helpful, supportive partner relationship.
- Maintain a class environment that promotes learning, limits distractions, practices grace, and seeks to honor Jesus.
- Attend appropriate meetings and events.
- Model Christ, proclaim the Gospel, and love the students.
- Participate in required staff training.
- Work with other members of the staff team to provide a well-balanced, Gospel-oriented, Christian education.

Marketing & Communications Director
Full-Time or Part-Time Position
Knoxville Christian School
Knoxville Christian School is seeking a highly motivated, mission-minded individual to serve as our Marketing & Communications Director. This position is responsible for promoting the mission, vision, culture, and programs of the school to current and prospective families and the broader community.
Knoxville Christian School serves students from 18 months old through 12th grade and is committed to providing a Christ-centered education that develops students spiritually, academically, socially, and physically.
The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, creative storyteller, organized project manager, and enthusiastic ambassador for Christian education.
Position Summary
The Marketing & Communications Director leads the school’s internal and external communications, branding, marketing initiatives, social media presence, promotional materials, and community engagement efforts. The position may be structured as either full-time or part-time depending on the candidate’s experience, availability, and the school’s needs.
Essential Responsibilities
Communications
- Develop and oversee school-wide communication strategies.
- Create and distribute newsletters, announcements, press releases, and promotional content.
- Coordinate communication with current and prospective families through email, social media, print, and digital platforms.
- Maintain consistency in messaging, branding, and school identity.
- Assist administration with crisis communication or urgent messaging when necessary.
Marketing & Branding
- Promote Knoxville Christian School’s mission, programs, achievements, and events to the community.
- Develop marketing campaigns to support enrollment growth and retention.
- Create promotional materials including brochures, flyers, advertisements, banners, and event graphics.
- Coordinate photography and video content for school use.
- Ensure branding consistency across all platforms and materials.
Social Media & Digital Presence
- Manage and grow the school’s social media platforms.
- Maintain and update school website content.
- Create engaging digital content that highlights student life, academics, athletics, arts, spiritual development, and special events.
- Monitor analytics and engagement to improve communication effectiveness.
Community & Event Support
- Help promote school events, athletic programs, fine arts, fundraising efforts, and admissions initiatives.
- Coordinate media coverage and community partnerships when appropriate.
- Support admissions and enrollment efforts through marketing and communications initiatives.
- Attend selected school events for content creation and promotional purposes.
Additional Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with school leadership, faculty, staff, and coaches.
- Uphold and promote the mission and values of Knoxville Christian School.
- Perform other duties as assigned by administration.
Qualifications
- Strong personal Christian testimony and commitment to Christian education.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience in marketing, communications, public relations, social media management, or related field preferred.
- Proficiency with graphic design, social media platforms, and digital communication tools preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Photography, videography, and content creation experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required based on experience and qualifications.
