Job Responsibilities:

  • Set high academic standards for every student in the class while still adapting to the individual needs of each child.
  • Prepare lesson plans in advance that teach core objectives and principles that are relevant to future education, also showing students how this knowledge is useful in the real world.
  • Teach several different classes of students the rules of grammar, punctuation, spelling and other nuances of the Spanish language.
  • Track and report performance data to determine where changes need to be made and which strategies and methods are working.
  • Attend weekly staff meetings to address unique situations or problems with individual students so you can adapt your lesson plans to meet their needs.
  • Develop stable, solid relationships with students with appropriate boundaries so they know you are available to help them when they need it.
  • Promote parent/teacher/student associations and encourage students and their guardians to get involved in the community and in the school.
  • Attend special events held by the school and engage with students and their parents in an appropriate, friendly way.

Job Qualifications:

Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree - preferably in secondary education or Spanish
  • State certification and/or licensing to be a qualified Spanish teacher, or in process
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including sitting and standing for long periods of time
  • Previous experience teaching Spanish

QUALIFICATIONS Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university

This position is responsible for promoting the mission, vision, culture, and programs of the school to current and prospective families and the broader community.

Knoxville Christian School serves students from 18 months old through 12th grade and is committed to providing a Christ-centered education that develops students spiritually, academically, socially, and physically.

The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, creative storyteller, organized project manager, and enthusiastic ambassador for Christian education.

Position Summary

The Marketing & Communications Director leads the school’s internal and external communications, branding, marketing initiatives, social media presence, promotional materials, and community engagement efforts. The position may be structured as either full-time or part-time depending on the candidate’s experience, availability, and the school’s needs.

Essential Responsibilities

Communications

  • Develop and oversee school-wide communication strategies.
  • Create and distribute newsletters, announcements, press releases, and promotional content.
  • Coordinate communication with current and prospective families through email, social media, print, and digital platforms.
  • Maintain consistency in messaging, branding, and school identity.
  • Assist administration with crisis communication or urgent messaging when necessary.

Marketing & Branding

Knoxville Christian School (K–12)

The Athletic Director at Knoxville Christian School serves as the leader and coordinator of the school’s athletic program for students in Kindergarten through 12th grade. This position is responsible for overseeing the development, organization, supervision, and spiritual leadership of all athletic programs while supporting the mission and values of the school.

The Athletic Director works closely with administration, coaches, students, parents, officials, and community members to promote excellence in athletics, Christ-centered sportsmanship, student growth, and program integrity. The Athletic Director is expected to foster an environment that emphasizes character, teamwork, discipline, respect, and leadership both on and off the field or court.

Primary responsibilities include overseeing athletic operations, scheduling games and practices, supervising coaches, maintaining compliance with league and governing organization requirements, coordinating athletic events, communicating with families, managing athletic facilities and equipment, and supporting the academic and spiritual well-being of student-athletes.
