Position Summary:
Knoxville Christian School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Science Teacher to instruct middle and high school students. The ideal candidate will integrate a strong foundation in scientific principles with a Christian worldview, fostering both academic excellence and spiritual growth in students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging science instruction for middle and high school courses (e.g., life science, physical science, biology, chemistry, or physics as assigned)
• Develop lesson plans that align with school curriculum standards and learning objectives
• Incorporate hands-on experiments, labs, and demonstrations to enhance student understanding
• Assess and evaluate student progress through tests, projects, assignments, and participation
• Maintain a positive, structured classroom environment that promotes respect and responsibility
• Integrate biblical principles into lessons where appropriate
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff regarding academic progress and behavior
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field
• Valid teaching certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Experience teaching middle and/or high school students preferred
• Strong understanding of core scientific disciplines
• Commitment to Christian education and the mission of Knoxville Christian School
• Ability to integrate faith and learning in the classroom
• Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
